"Short
Walks in Aargau"
Short Walks in Aargau is a non-commercial association of hikers promoting easy
hikes in the
Zurich and Baden, Aargau areas - lots of picture
galleries, descriptions and maps of easy hikes
with the objective of inspiring others to join in and hike with us.
We are an Interest Group of ZIWA (Zurich Women's Association).
The club is open to non-residents allowing discounts on SAC publications and lower overnight rates at SAC huts and those of other clubs where a reciprocal agreement exists. All SAC publications as far as we are aware are only available in German, French or Italian. For further information on SAC contact the Schweizer Alpenclub at Helvetiaplatz 4, Bern
FAT & SAT

It organises local guided walks, publishes a free bi-monthly walking magazine in French & German as well as high quality walking maps. It is also responsible for the construction, maintenence and waymarking of all national routes.

Maps
The National Survey of Switzerland (Bundesant fur Landestopographie) produce an excellent series of 1:50000 scale maps especially for walkers. The maps are called Landeskarte Wanderkarte (Walkers Maps). Freytag & Berndt produce both 1:50000 & 1:250000 maps with less detailed contouring and paths marked clearly in red.
