The Cavan Way runs between the two westernmost towns of County Cavan. The walk is divided into two halves by terrain. The northern section from Blacklion to Shannon Pot is hillwalking country whilst from Shannon Pot to Dowra you follow a road for most of the way. Links with the Leitrim Way at Dowra and Ulster Way
