A route affected by the sea? This walk centres around the Wyre estuary from its mouth into the Irish Sea upstream to Shard Bridge. It utilises the ferry between Fleetwood and Knot End a service that is subject to the tide. Parts of the route are low lying and can be flooded on spring tides.
