From Rawtenstall to Slaidburn this walk takes you out of the industrial north west and onto the moors between Blackburn and Accrington, across to Pendle Hill the epie centre of witchcraft in Lancashire, down to Downham and the Ribble valley before its final climb through the Forest of Bowland over Standridge Hill to Slaidburn. Slaidburn has many facilities including a youth hostel and a pub with a law court. Links with the Pendle Way and Ribble Way
