Brown Candover to Lone Barn and join the Abbotstone Down Cycle Trail across Becket's Down to Drummer Grange Farm and on to Drummer Grange and Drummer (PH).
Go out of Drummer towards the M3 motorway leaving the road to the right just before the motorway junction and follow the lane parrelel to the motorway to a bridge. Go over the bridge and follow the side of the motorway again but in the opposite direction for a short while before truning right along the edge of Peak Copse.
At the road junction take the minor road diagonally across and after a few hundred metres head across a field to the south west edge of South Wood. The walk runs along the edge of the wood to the north west corner before doing a dog leg out across fields to Bull's Bushes Farm and Copse.
Coming out of the copse the way joins the Basingstoke Cycle Trail for the first time along a bridleway to a minor road at Cheesedown Farm. The Wayfarer's Walk follows the road into Deane before striking a diagonal path over to Deane Down Farm, Little Deane Wood and joining the Basingstoke Cycle Trail for the last time and going along the side of Great Deane Wood and Patchbourne Wood.
At the western end of the White Lane the Basingstoke Cycle Trail goes left and right and the Wayfarer's Walk goes straight on at the side of one and through a wood towards Freemantle Farm, Manor Farm and North Oakley.
Out of North Oakley along a track heading west the route then turns north again over the North Downs to Walkridge Farm and White Hill.
Beyond White Hill you cross a series of downs, Cannon Heath Down, the famous Watership Down, Nuthanger Down and turning south after Ladle Hill Great Litchfield Down before crossing the A34 (T) road onto Lower and Upper Woodcott Down and past Rabbit Warren.
You may have noticed that from Nuthanger Down you're sharing the route with another cycle route, the Whitchurch Cycle Trail. This trail departs from the Wayfarer's Walk at Keepers Cottage on the A343.

The walk along wide tracks (The Ox Drove) and a short section of minor road keeps to the edge now all the way to Walbury Hill and the finish at the Inkpen Beacon and the start of the Test Way if you want a walk that will take you back to close to where you came from.
The Ham Hill or Inkpen White Horse is also here to see.
A short walk north through Inkpen to
Kintbury
will bring you to the Kennet and Avon Walk or the nearest railway station if
you prefer.
