A walk designed to take in places of interest associated with the great painters of the area, namely Thomas Gainsborough and John Constable. The route links Sudbury in Suffolk with Maningtree in Essex having passed through Bures, Nayland, Stratford St Mary and Flatford Mill. Both painters where born in the area Thomas Gainsborough in Sudbury and John Constable in East Bergholt. East Bergholt and Dedham Mill can be included in this route by following a short diversion to the main walk.
