From Lyme Park in Cheshire to Rushton Spencer in Staffordshire the Gritstone Trail follows the gritstone edge south providing high level panaramas over the peak District to the east and the Cheshire Plain to the west

The National Trust Lyme Park Country Park
From the main car park the walk heads south before turning towards the east through Knights Low wood and over Park Moor to Bowstonegate. Here it turns south for Sponds Hill (410m) and then descends to a minor before heading west to the outskirts of Bollington
