A route through Wensleydale from Leyburn to Hawes, on through the Mallerstang Valley to Kirkby Stephen and back east across Nine Standards Rigg to Keld and finally through Swaldale to Richmond.

Day 2 Aysgarth to Hawes and the first encounter with the Pennine Way

There is a suggested shortcut from Hardraw Force following the Pennine Way over Great Shunner Fell to Thwaite and Muker to rejoin the main route at Ramps Holme Bridge

Day 3 Hawes to Kirkby Stephen

Day 4 Kirkby Stephen to Keld is where the route joins Wainwright's Coast to Coast
