Based around Clitheroe as the name suggests this route has many ups and downs in fact over 1600m in both directions. It climbs out of the Ribble Valley on to Longridge Fell then down into the Hoddle Valley around Grindleton Fell through Sawley and Downham up Pendle Hill (beware of witches) and finally back down to Clitheroe. Links with both the Ribble Way at Sawley and the Pendle Way on Pendle Hill.
